1. Who we are

Vale Booklet is operated by Trend Wise Investment Group Pty Ltd, ABN 19 111 870 501, in Australia. You contract with Trend Wise Investment Group Pty Ltd for use of the service. These terms apply to our website and services, wherever they are hosted. Our brand domain is valebooklet.com.

By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. You must be at least 18 and have authority to act for any business you represent.

2. Our service

Our services may include printable order-of-service booklets (a folded A5 booklet printed on A4 sheets, or a 5.5 × 8.5 in booklet printed on US Letter), themes with limited customisation, proofs and family sign-off, and funeral-home collaboration with staff access and branding.

Service visuals may include a welcome/hold screen (free with every booklet, carrying a preview mark until the booklet is paid), photo tribute slideshows, a gathering loop, on-screen order-of-service slides, and exports for venues: video, silent video with a music cue sheet, photo packs and PowerPoint. Optional reminder emails for venue upload deadlines may also be available. Features and export options may roll out over time; available options are shown in the service. We do not organise funerals, supply printing services or license third-party music to you.

Design and preview are free. Paid downloads, presentation and export depend on the relevant purchase or active plan.

3. Accounts and sign-in

Sign in using an email link or an available sign-in provider. Keep your account details accurate, protect your email account and do not forward private sign-in links. You are responsible for activity you authorise and must tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access.

Only access booklets you own or have permission to work on. Family access is limited to invited booklets and the permissions selected by the funeral home.

4. Prices and individual purchases

Prices are shown in the visitor’s local currency: AUD in Australia, NZD in New Zealand, GBP in the UK, EUR in eurozone countries, CAD in Canada, and USD elsewhere. Prices include GST in Australia and New Zealand and VAT in the UK and eurozone; applicable tax is added at checkout in the US and Canada, and taxes may apply at checkout elsewhere. The booklet is a one-off US$29 purchase. A service slideshow with music is a one-off US$19 when bought with the booklet or added to a paid booklet, or US$29 on its own, with local-currency equivalents shown at checkout. There are no free trials. The final total is shown before payment. Your bank may apply currency conversion charges.

Individual purchases include edits and re-downloads for 30 days from payment. Changes to an approved booklet require a new proof approval before another clean PDF can be downloaded; no new charge applies within that window. After the window the studio becomes read-only. Keep your downloaded files; indefinite access or storage is not promised.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle is the merchant/seller of record, so Paddle’s Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase, including payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics. Refunds are processed through Paddle; see Paddle’s Refund Policy and request a refund at paddle.net. A successful payment, not simply visiting a return page, unlocks the purchased output. See our Refund policy.

4a. Digital content and cancellation rights (EU/UK)

Booklet and slideshow downloads are digital content supplied immediately after payment. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a 14-day right to withdraw, but by asking us to unlock your files straight away you consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose that right once the download or export is unlocked. This doesn't affect your rights if the content is faulty.

This acknowledgement does not limit any separate refund rights under Paddle’s Refund Policy or your non-excludable consumer rights, including Australian Consumer Law guarantees.

5. Funeral-home subscriptions

Funeral homes can choose Starter (US$79 per month, up to 10 new booklet downloads per calendar month) or Unlimited (US$159 per month, unlimited booklets, subject to acceptable use), each billed monthly or annually (annual = 10 × monthly). Local-currency equivalents apply. Both include service slideshows, branding, staff access and family collaboration. There are no free trials. Plans renew automatically at the chosen interval and you authorise recurring charges through our payment processor until cancelled. Plan changes take effect immediately with a prorated charge or credit. Billing dates and totals are shown before subscription.

Starter includes up to 10 new booklet downloads per calendar month; the first clean download of a booklet counts once, re-downloads don't, unused allowance doesn't roll over, and the count resets on the 1st of each month (UTC). Plan switches are prorated via Paddle according to its applicable billing rules.

You may cancel at any time through “Manage billing” (the Paddle customer portal) or by contacting support@valebooklet.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period, with no further renewal. Refunds are handled through Paddle under its refund policy and applicable law. Failed payments may suspend downloads until resolved.

On cancellation, plan-based downloads and exports cease at the end of the period; previously downloaded files remain yours. We do not automatically make your booklets public or transfer family information to another organisation. Contact us before the period ends to arrange an export. Stored booklets and family data follow our Privacy Policy retention schedule; cancellation is not itself a request for immediate deletion.

6. Problems, refunds and consumer rights

If something’s wrong, we’ll fix it or refund you. Contact support@valebooklet.com with the details so we can help.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies under the Australian Consumer Law or other non-excludable consumer laws. If a service has a major failure, you may be entitled to cancel and receive a refund, and to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss. For other failures, you may be entitled to a remedy within a reasonable time. See our Refund policy.

7. Your content and music rights

You retain ownership of the photos, text, music and other content you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, copy, process and render that content only to provide the service, including making proofs, PDFs and slideshow exports and sharing it with authorised collaborators.

You warrant that you have the necessary permissions and rights to upload and use the content, including consent where required for living people’s information. Music is specifically your responsibility: owning a recording or using a streaming subscription does not necessarily grant rights to upload it, synchronise it with images, export it in a video or play it publicly at a service. Obtain any necessary licences and check the venue’s requirements.

We supply lyrics only for selected public-domain hymns. Showing or printing words of copyrighted songs usually requires the church or venue's licence (for example CCLI or OneLicense). If you add your own song words, you're responsible for having permission. Many venues play music from their own licensed systems and set their own rules.

We may remove unlawful or infringing content and suspend access while investigating credible complaints. Your licence ends when content is deleted, except for limited retention needed for backups, legal duties or resolving disputes. Our software, designs and brand remain ours or our licensors’.

8. Funeral homes and family data

Funeral homes are responsible for their staff, permissions, family invitations and lawful use of family information. Invite only appropriate contacts, verify addresses, explain who can see the booklet, and remove access when no longer needed.

For family personal data a funeral home brings into the service, the funeral home is the controller (or equivalent responsible business) and we process it on its behalf under its instructions. We are independently responsible for our own account, billing and security administration. A data processing agreement (DPA) is available on request at support@valebooklet.com.

9. Acceptable use

Do not upload unlawful, abusive or infringing material, impersonate others, send spam, access another person’s content without permission, bypass payment or access controls, distribute malware, scrape private data or disrupt the service. Do not use the service for unrelated bulk storage or resale of our software. We may investigate and proportionately restrict misuse.

10. Proofs, printing and availability

Check names, dates, service details, photographs and the order of service carefully before approving. Approved proofs are your responsibility for the content and choices you approve; this does not remove your rights if our output is defective or differs from the approved proof.

Printing results depend on paper, printer settings and third-party equipment. We are not responsible for a third-party printer’s quality or errors. Follow the printing instructions and ask your print shop to check the file before producing copies.

We aim to provide reliable access but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, networks and external providers can cause delays. Download and test your files before the service and keep a local backup.

Venues and crematoria set their own file formats, photo limits and upload deadlines; deadline reminders are a convenience and we aren't responsible for missed venue deadlines.

11. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or loss arising from misuse, unauthorised changes or third-party printing. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the fees you paid for the affected individual purchase, or the affected subscription in the 12 months before the event.

These limitations apply only where lawful and fair. They do not limit liability that cannot be excluded, including mandatory consumer remedies, fraud, wilful misconduct or any other non-excludable obligation. Nothing requires you to waive statutory rights.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service or request account closure at any time. Subscription cancellation follows the billing-period rule above. We may suspend or terminate access for material breaches, unlawful use or security risks, normally with notice and a reasonable chance to remedy unless urgent action is necessary. Where lawful and practicable, we will help you retrieve your content; retention and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes may be brought in its courts, subject to any mandatory rights to local law and courts that apply to you.

We may update these terms and will show a new last-updated date. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes affecting paid services. Changes are not applied retrospectively to remove rights for purchases already made. If you do not accept a material subscription change, you may cancel before it takes effect.

14. Contact

For support, refunds, cancellation, a DPA or questions about these terms, email support@valebooklet.com. The service operator is Trend Wise Investment Group Pty Ltd, ABN 19 111 870 501, Australia.
